Place your flowers in a cool spot away from windows, heating vents, or appliances. Direct sunlight and heat will cause petals to wilt and dry out faster.
Lightly spray a fine mist of water on the petals and leaves every 1–2 days. This keeps the blooms hydrated and adds humidity, especially in air-conditioned rooms.
Refresh the vase water every day to prevent bacterial buildup that blocks stems. Top it up to ensure stems are always submerged at least 5–7 cm deep.
If your arrangement uses floral foam, keep it moist at all times by adding water regularly. Dry foam cannot reabsorb water and will cause stems to dehydrate quickly.
Promptly trim away any dead or drooping flowers and yellow leaves using clean scissors. Wilted parts drain energy and nutrients from healthy blooms, shortening the arrangement’s life.
Every other day, empty the vase completely and clean it with mild soap to remove bacteria and residue. A clean vase keeps the water fresher for longer and extends bloom life.
